Today, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (#MoECC) and the Environment Protection Agency Sierra Leone had the honour of welcoming officers from Nigeria’s #National#Defence#College on a study tour focused on environmental resource exploitation and regulation in Sierra Leone.
The visit provided a great opportunity to showcase the scope and impact of our regulatory efforts, the public benefits they bring, and the institutional and technical systems we’ve put in place to support our national commitments on climate, biodiversity, nature, chemicals, and waste management. We also highlighted the strong partnership with the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (#RSLAF), especially in the fight against environmental crime across the country.
