The Minister

Hon. Jiwoh Emmanuel Abdulai is the current Minister of the Environment and Climate Change of Sierra Leone. His appointment and current ministerial position are confirmed by the Office of the President.

He leads the Government’s environmental governance, climate-resilience and natural-resource-management agenda.Professional Background

Prior to serving as Minister, Mr. Abdulai had extensive experience in finance, technology and international business. He worked as Co-Head of Professional Services at Broadway Technology and previously worked as a Quantitative Strategist at Goldman Sachs International in London.

He also served as a Special Adviser to the Minister of Finance of Sierra Leone from 2020 to 2021, where he worked on government policy initiatives and the country’s economic response to COVID-19.
